Individual Person Centred Therapy
Is Person-Centred Therapy right for me?
Person-Centred Therapy can be a good fit if you’re looking for a space where you don’t have to perform, explain yourself perfectly, or meet anyone else’s expectations.
It may be right for you if:
You’re feeling overwhelmed, low, anxious, or stuck
You want to better understand your feelings and experiences
You’re navigating identity, relationships, or life changes
You often put others first and struggle to make space for yourself
You want therapy that adapts to you, rather than following a set programme
You don’t need to arrive with a clear “problem” or goal. Therapy can begin with a sense that something isn’t quite right, or a desire to feel more grounded, confident, or connected to yourself.
If you’re unsure whether this approach feels right, a free initial consultation can offer space to ask questions and get a sense of how it might support you.
What is Person-Centred Therapy?
Person-Centred Therapy is a gentle, respectful form of individual therapy that places you at the centre of the work. Rather than being told what to do or analysed, you’re offered a supportive, non-judgemental space to explore what’s happening for you — at your own pace.
This approach is based on the belief that people have an in-built capacity for growth and healing when they feel truly heard, understood, and accepted. Therapy focuses on building a trusting relationship where you can make sense of your experiences, emotions, and choices, and begin to feel more connected to yourself.
Person-Centred Therapy is widely used and evidence-supported, particularly for concerns such as anxiety, low mood, self-esteem, and life transitions. Research consistently shows that the quality of the therapeutic relationship itself — feeling safe, valued, and understood — is one of the strongest predictors of positive change.
